Insufficient or excessive air pressure of engineering tires will greatly reduce the service life of tires and cause early damage to tires. The test shows that when the tire pressure is 85% of the specified pressure, the driving mileage will be reduced by 20%. If a new tire can travel 50000 km, the service life of 10000 km will be reduced due to the pressure reduction of 15%; If the air pressure only reaches the specified 50%, the driving mileage of the tire will be reduced by 75%, even if the new tire only travels 10000 km, it will be scrapped.
1. The deformation degree of the tire exceeds the allowable range, resulting in excessive bending of the sidewall and increased friction of the cord layer in the tire during driving, resulting in glue opening, looseness and fracture of the cord layer.
3. The tire pressure is too low. When encountering obstacles, the local deformation is too large, resulting in cracks in the carcass, causing hidden dangers. When the vehicle speed is high, it will burst suddenly.
4. If the deformation of the rear tires is too large, the inner sides of the tires will rub against each other and damage the sidewall. If one tire pressure is high and the other is low, it will increase the load of the tire with high pressure and accelerate its wear.
5. Due to low air pressure and excessive tire deformation, the tire temperature will rise when the tractor is running, reducing the strength of rubber and cord layer.
The main causes of tire damage due to excessive air pressure are as follows:
1. If the internal pressure is too high, the tension of the cord layer is too large and its strength is reduced.
2. If the internal pressure is too high, the tire grounding area decreases, which intensifies the wear in the middle of the tread and makes the tread easy to crack.
3. The tire elasticity decreases. When encountering obstacles during driving, the cord is easy to break, and even the tire will be shot. Due to the decrease of elasticity, the vibration of the vehicle is intensified, resulting in the early wear of other parts.
The tire not only carries the whole mass of the car, but also pushes the car forward, and plays the role of mixed ground impact at the same time. The tires installed on transport vehicles account for about 15% ~ 20% of the whole vehicle value. In use, the tire consumption cost accounts for more than 16% ~ 22% of the transportation cost. Therefore, the correct use of tires is very important to save cost.
